Out in Healthcare

Recognizing the large number of students interested in careers in healthcare, we offer a networking night focused specifically on that group. The event includes a diversity of professionals across the healthcare field, including public health, medicine, nursing, instruction, and research. We hope to increase connections between students and people in their field to help with professional development. Moving past the basic concerns about if to be out and when and where one should be out, Out in Healthcare focuses on the experiences of queer professionals in healthcare. At the end of the event, we hope each of the students leaves with a better understanding of healthcare professions as well as a plethora of contacts within their field.
